This is a 2017 Corvette Grand Sport. It is sexy. All that blue is hot. But that’s not what we’re here to talk about. No let’s talk Germans. Specifically what what awesome German car you can buy for 80,000 bucks. On the used side. The 718 Cayman.
And the Used a Audi R8 V8.
Which would you pick?

Neither. $80,000 I’ll buy a racing seat for a season a cheap boxter

For 80k German, you could buy a new M3/M4 and tune the shit out of it. That would definitely be my choice.

I’d rather have the Cayman p, because it’s already a sports car, not heavy sedan, or “coupe”.

Don’t quote me on this, but I think the squiggly wheels are a V10 only thing.

R8 all day err’day. The Cayman has looked weirdly droopy to me. Plus V10>H4.

The V10s are still in the 100-120,000 range, but I’ll agree that the R8 is better looking.

I like the R8 V8 because you don’t get that stupid V10 badge on the side. Which, I suppose one could debadge it from a V10.

Nipple wheels.

R8 for sure. It’s a literal supercar. For $80,000. You aren’t going to find a Gallardo (different engine, I know) for $80k with less than 250k miles.

The V8 has smoother side-blades and quad tailpipes.
The V10 has extra flairs on the bottom of the side-blades, side skirts, blacked out grille surrounds, and dual round tailpipes.

Awesome german for 80k?
Manual 997 Turbo. I like the explosion of senses that comes from a cabrio, but coupes are available too.

New. The corvettes performance is more than enough for me and I’d be too scared to wrench on a modern high performance Audi or Porsche

Same thing with the RS5 just two huge exhaust holes.

I’d have a coupe but a 997 turbo is the right car at 80k
